it's very tricky to get the stats for ryan. i warned the nurse "you gotta be quick."
for height, he is laid down in this box with his head touching the side of the box and as he is stretched out, the nurse moves the ruler to the bottom of his feet. first time we tried this, he stood up. second time, we both wrestled him and managed to measure him at 30 inches.
the crown measurement was a bit easier as i held him upright and covered his arms so he couldn't reach up and snap the measuring tape from the distraught nurse. he was measured at 47cm.
to get his weight, his diaper was removed and he was placed on top of the scale. since lying down was out of the question, we had him sitting up. of course he tried to grab onto things, but eventually he just sat still and the electronic scale read 23lbs.
what's a dr's visit without shots? this time he had 3 shots for chicken pox and hep A. much yelling incurred in being held him down, but no crying over the shots.
whew... another visit at 15 months...
