more family arrived during the second half of our trip to celebrate my paternal grandmother's 90-something birthday and my dad's 60th birthday. i have much to tell ryan about his great grandmothers and grandfather and how they have shaped who we are and where we are today.
ryan was slow to warm to the new faces though. he doesn't mind being held by strangers, but will study them and avoid direct eye contact. funny thing was that once uncle victor put on a large hat, he was all around him trying to get to the hat. we knew he was warm to aunt terry once he attempted to bite her. he has yet to show his affection in a socially acceptable way.
