pictures of trip to berkeley, san jose and cupertinojosiah and i are optimists... josiah more so than me. for example, we decide that if we work together, we can take ryan on a trip that involves 6 plane rides, 6 cities and 3 time zones. all to see family, friends and attend two weddings of close friends.
but compare our carryon luggage: i carry a diaper bag with wipes, extra clothing for ryan and myself, toys to entertain the baby with, kleenex and saline should ryan's slight cold bother him. josiah, on the other hand, carries a bag with items for him: magazines, laptop, dvds to watch, ipod, and a video game. ah, my funny husband thought he would have nothing to do on the plane! instead, we took turns napping and playing with ryan who throughly enjoyed playing with the arm rests and drinking water droplets from a coffee stirrer.
our northern california trip involved visiting the changs in berkeley, attending don and khanh's wedding in san jose and their reception in cupertino in addition to visiting josiah's extended family. what a wonderful surprise it was to see more relatives than we had anticipated!
